About mori and guest speakers

mori is a variant name of Moriel, which means “God is my Teacher”. mori is a social enterprise aimed at alleviating poverty by providing employment to disadvantaged mothers in the Philippines in crafting bespoke journals and other lifestyle goods. Through employment, mori hopes the art of handcrafting will spark purpose and joy in the mothers.

The social enterprise is founded by Mitzi Chan from the Philippines, who has since quit her cushy corporate job in a bid to discover her calling and destiny.

For 3 years daily, Mitzi had read a chapter of the Bible, penning down the spiritual insights and wisdom obtained in her trusty journal. Rachel Lin and Louisa Gavriella Ho from Singapore eventually joined her on this adventurous journey of faith in the form of business development and passion project on Bible journaling.

Rachel Lin is the co-founder of mori, and is in charge of developing and managing the business start-up in both Singapore and international markets. She is happily married to her husband Joshua Fu.

Louisa Gavriella Ho shows her utmost support by assisting in the areas of business development, creative, communications, events, retail distribution, inventory logistics, special projects, and product development. She is currently serving the nation as a frontline warrior in swab operations.

Rachel and Louisa have conducted 2 physical workshops for Colours of the Bible 2019, as well as workshops for City Harvest Church zone youth camp.
