The artwork depicts Jesus' sacrifice for all of us. The piece shows that we are all sinners (black background) incapable of healing on our own, but by Jesus' sacrifice (crown, nails and blood) of bearing our sins upon himself at Calvary, he washed away our sins and patched our wounds (plasters) and given us hope that he has overcome death so that we can have eternal life in him (Bandages).
