Competition
This art competition aims to promote cultural exchange between Singapore and Israel by inviting Singaporeans and Israelis alike to illustrate the Bible through art. The competition and exhibition will be promoted to churches in Singapore, mission schools and art schools, and is open to all.
Through this competition, the organisers aspire to:
- Promote and maintain the long-standing solidarity and friendship among the countries
- Use the arts as a catalyst to educate and promote the harmony of faith, identity and cultures
- Instil values in the young as parents explore the competition theme with their children
Closing date for entries: Singapore – 15 June 2016; Israel – 5 June 2016
Categories
- Cat 1: Under 7 yrs
- Cat 2: 8-12 yrs
- Cat 3: 13-18 yrs
- Cat 4: Open Category (19 yrs and above)

Format for Artwork
- All artwork must illustrate the stipulated theme: Major Milestones of the Bible
- Minimum size: A3 (297 x 420 mm or 11 ¾ x 16 ½ inches)
- Maximum size: A1 (841 x 594 mm or 33.11 x 23.39 inches)
- For sculptures: Minimum size is 0.6m x 0.6m; Maximum size is 1m x 1m.
- Artwork in acrylic, batik, Chinese brush, collage, crayon, ink, mixed media, oil, watercolour or any other medium is accepted.
- Digital media will not be accepted.
- Multiple submissions are allowed per category, but each participant is restricted to one prize per category.
- Entries submitted must be original physical copies.

- Visual Impact

Winners in each category will receive attractive prizes.
Exhibition & Talk
Art Exhibition: The Art Space @ Suntec, 6-15 August 2016
Top entries will have their work showcased at the exhibition open to the public. The exhibition will include an exclusive gala opening event that will include distinguished guests from the diplomatic, religious and arts communities in Singapore.
In conjunction with the exhibition, a special programme will be organised to promote art and deeper understanding between the cultures and its people.
VIP Judging Panel
A special panel of judges representing the different cultures and segments of society will be formed.
