Inspired by Isa. 42:3 and Matt. 12:16-21, which illustrate the Hope and Promise given by God to people who look for Him and ask for help, I looked for reeds in the Singapore Botanic Gardens and found them by the lake. The reeds were next to dry land, which led to the idea of combining the wick and reeds for this artwork.

To me, Satan, sin and temptation is a scary thing. However, Rev. 20:1-2 ignites hope in me as God promises that Satan will be locked up for 1,000 years. There would be peace for the people on earth. This gives me hope of what is to come. Glory to God in the highest!
I chose the story of Noah and the ark because it shows a promise from God that is true up till today! I also chose it because I love animals.
Jesus is the only human being who was completely pure and without sin. He died on the cross, bearing the punishment for all our sins; the just for the unjust. Through this sacrifice, all who believe in Him are forgiven and have eternal life.
It is God heart to bless and provide us with every provision. Sometimes our prayer may seem like it is not answered, that He did not hear us. However, we need to understand that God’s timing and ours is different and He is always on time even though it may feel last minute (to us). In my opinion, God prefers to wait until the last minute to answer our prayers to bring about His will and His purpose for us.
