King Solomon asked God for wisdom to govern His people. This delighted God, and so God gave him wisdom to do just so. With wisdom from God, King Solomon was able to discern how to wisely deal with the two women who were fighting over a baby.
Isa. 40:31 reminds me that I can hope in the Lord when I face difficulties. When I wait upon the Lord and rest in Him, He will renew my strength so that I can rise above my challenges and not grow weary, just like how the eagles soar on their wings instead of busily flapping their wings.
We may face many ‘storms’ in our lives, but the Bible reminds us that there is hope. Just as Jesus was in control of the storm in Mark 4:35-41, God is in control of all our lives. The hands that calmed the storm are the very hands that lead us, guide us and protect us.
