The trials and tribulations in this sin-sick world can feel like being in an inferno as depicted by the burning forest in the painting. But there is hope for deliverance for those who revere God. This hope is depicted by the soft warm glow of the morning sun in the painting. Against this comforting light is an eagle-like creature with powerful wings. Those who hold onto God and lean on Him will be healed of the pain and affliction in this troubled world, gain courage and resilience in adversity and soar heavenward with the Holy Spirit.
