The last light of day spills across the sea in ripples of gold. In the deepening twilight, a crew of fishermen labor together in silent harmony, hauling a heavy net from waters that, moments before, had given them nothing.
This is the obedience that precedes abundance — the willingness to let down the net once more, against fatigue, against doubt, trusting a word spoken into the dark. Where the deep blue of toil meets the gold of grace, the catch overflows.
Theirs is not a solitary labor. Hand in hand, in wordless unity, they draw in what obedience has provided — a quiet picture of the Church itself, called from empty nets into a harvest beyond what any one of them could carry alone. And further still, in that same calling, the net becomes a sign of greater work to come: to be made fishers of men.
Between heaven and sea, the light remains — carrier of memory, of companionship, of hope fulfilled.
