Story of Numbers 21:8-9 - The bronze serpent is a picture of Jesus bearing our punishment and sins on the cross. He who knew no sin became sin for us. The serpent represented sin and bronze represented judgment that Jesus took for us. Whoever looked at the bronze serpent, lived. Hence today, as we look to Jesus on the cross, we are reminded that by His stripes, we are healed.
